Swimphi Manhattan Beach provides private swimming lessons to the Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, El Segundo, Torrance communities. We offer high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities.

Location: 1401 Artesia Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266. Find directions, parking information, and pool access details at this link. Sessions are held all year on Sundays. The temperature of the Manhattan Beach outdoor pool is maintained at a comfortable 82°F.

Swim Fit Class: Beginner Adult Swimming

Overview
Designed for recreational swimmers aiming to stay fit or those returning to exercise after a break. Sessions involve swimming 500–1,000 yards (20–40 laps).

Prerequisites

  • Must be water-safe and able to swim 25 yards (1 pool length) of front crawl without stopping.

  • A swim test is conducted during the first class, and the coach will confirm if this is the right class for you.

Goal
Improve fitness and build endurance.

Schedule

  • When: Sundays, 4:00 PM–5:00 PM, year-round

  • Ages: 18+

Pricing

  • Class Fee: $30 per 60-minute class, billed monthly based on the number of classes in the month (e.g., 5 Sundays = $150). First month is prorated.

  • Annual Registration Fee: $35 per student, charged at initial registration and annually on the anniversary month.

  • Billing Details: Recurring monthly membership. To stop billing, update your account by the 15th of the month. No mid-month refunds. Drop enrollment here.

The pool is conveniently located:

  • 0.5 mile from PCH

  • 1.5 miles from Hermosa Beach

  • 2 miles from South Bay Galleria

  • 2 miles from Redondo Beach

  • 4 miles from El Segundo

  • 5 miles from Torrance

  • 5 miles from Hawthorne

Pool Parking and Entrance

Park on the red-highlighted streets, which are off-campus. Then, follow the blue line to reach the pool.

The entrance to the ramp is at the intersection of Keats Street and South Meadow Street. The soccer field will be directly in front of you.

Ascend the staircase and then enter the pool area.

Pass through the gate with the soccer field to your left.

Proceed forward onto the campus.
