Swimphi, pronounced as swim-fi, is a leading private swimming enterprise in Los Angeles, with multiple branches and a yearly provision of thousands of lessons. Our core mission is to expedite the process of learning swimming. Established in 2014 by Peter Ford, we prioritize efficiency, aiming to minimize both time and costs typically associated with ensuring a child's proficiency in water safety. Our track record speaks for itself: achieving water safety in under 8 lessons, offering the most competitive prices in comparison to other swim schools, providing Swimphi certification, employing instructors with over 20 years of experience, and having successfully trained over 2000 swimmers with a team of 30+ expert instructors.

What does Swimphi mean?
Swimphi is made up of two words: swim + phi. Swim is what we do. Phi is the name of the Greek letter Φ which represents the Golden Ratio. The Golden Ratio is used a lot in our programs, products and software. Artists, architects, and designers also use it to make their creations visually appealing. The Golden Ratio Φ is a magical number derived from the Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Spiral.
